The same fog flowing under the bridge in the previous photo produces this effect when the sun shines through the trees near the bridge.

White factory wall in strong sunlight. Under-exposed by one stop.

M10M + 50mm Summilux-M ASPH

Good example for me to remember that with the M10M I need to under expose by at least a full stop to avoid blowing out the highlights. The M10M recovers shadow content very well but not the highlights. Thanks for the demonstration. CHIPS

M10M - APO-Summicron-M 1:2.0/50 - Orange Filter - ISO 160 - f 9.5 - 1/500 sec

Very dramatic. The graphic composition is especially strong with the contrasting tones. Nice photo! CHIPS

The original DNG of this is horribly under-exposed. Astonished at how much detail could be recovered.

Nice shot. I would only have activated the Leica perspective control function so that the skyscrapers don't tip over to the side.

Agreed.

Here is the update. I do like the way the couple are looking at the scene before them. I think I made a mistake in the previous post...this is actually taken with an orange filter., so, this time, I toned down the contrast in post. I think it works better.

This is a favourite location: the Tokyo University of Science, about a 10-minute cycle ride from home. Was surprised to see children playing on the campus today!

Ugh. So easy to fall into this comfortable trap of the symmetrical composition. I need to snap out of it.
