Yes!

I thought I knew that fence. I have a home a couple of hundred yards away.

Weirdly it felt “warm” as it was ~35F and not windy or precipitating !

It’s been a snowy winter here, got my moneys worth from the new snow blower already

True, the wind or lack of it makes a huge difference. I can't wait for spring.

Nice shots, I’ve been out here since September.. I live over at the other end of that beach at the Oakhurst/Beachdale entrance.

Don’t think I’ll be back in Brooklyn for 6.. or 9 months.

This is a wonderful portrait -- reveals character and personality -- but your skins tones are superb and the sparkle of your Bokeh is beautiful. Did you have much post -editing to get the skins tones to this quality and what do you find works best contrast, highlights, clarity? Thanks, CHIPS

The Fence photo is well composed and interestingly has a dramatic dynamic range -- how did you keep the highlights from blowing out? When you made the photo were your shadows deeply underexposed? Or did you bracket and the do a merge in LR? Thanks -- CHIPS

I feel like I owe an explanation. There's a snow storm that will be hitting New Mexico today., but the first line of moisture rolled through the morning of these images. It was overcast, windy and periods of brief rain. I originally dropped a red filter on the APO 50 to dig out some contrast, which there was none. As the storm rolled out (leaving some awesome clouds), I switched to an orange filter and the bulk of the shots were with that. Sun came out and creating some awesome shadows and contrasts, and I was a gitty little kid.

Neuer -- Thanks for your description of how this photo was made! The orange filter brought good drama but not overwhelming the gentle ripples in the dunes pattern.

Thanks! CHIPS

After dozens of posts in the M246 thread, this is my first in this thread, because, after resisting for a year, I sold the M246 and bought the M10M.

We (finally) had a rainstorm in the San Francisco Bay Area, which resulted in ground fog in the valleys near my home the next morning. 75mm Summicron.

This is an amazing capture of light and curves -- I live in Sleepy Hollow for 15 years and frequently went to Biones Reservoir but your photo is incredible.

Thank you. You lived in Orinda, so you probably know the place where I took the photo. It's on Donald Drive in Moraga, about a half-mile past the gate that opens at dawn. It wasn't open when I got there, so I parked outside and walked to this spot.

Thank you and apologies as it is an OT post. These images were taken at the same spot and of the same fence as an image shared a few posts earlier. The images are taken with a Sigma 14-24 dg dn lens on a Sigma fp body. They were converted to monochrome in Photoshop.
