The weather for shooting has been downright rotten here for over two weeks. Flat light, heavy cloud cover, not a peep of sunlight.

I have scrolled past this image a few times on my phone and only just noticed the beauty of the fine detail in the leaves, the blacks and soft dreamy seamless backgrounds the Summilux. The file must be very nice on your monitor.

Thank you. The 50mm Summilux asph pairs beautifully with the M10M.

nice comparison! so will you be shooting more MM or Tri-x moving forward : p hehe

If you added grain and reduced contrast to the M110M images it would actually be hard to tell them apart huh!

I think I’m passing on the Monochrom for the time being. I have an M10 that will keep me satisfied if I definitely need digital images. In the meantime, I have a ton of Tri-X that needs shot :)

ill link the DNG and Tri-X scan for people here to look at later today. A couple notes about the Tri-x. It was pushed to 800 in processing (D76 1:1 at 11min 18°). Shouldn’t make much of a difference since Kodak calls for the same developing times until you shoot +2. I still think that the added developing time added a little contrast.

e Tri-x. It was pushed to 800

On top of the surprising results of the comparison! As I said you must have scanned very cunning because with 800ASA you mostly see noise and grain starting to boil in the shadows and scans are often unforgivable with that. Are these recent TriX rolls, or from the freezer from before 2008~? (Because I have so much struggle to get the recent TriX’s dried flat and without stains, reason why I sort of said goodbye to it in favor of Ilford films)

This is the crumbling remains of an old stone homestead built in 1852 by a German immigrant. He and his wife raised five children here. The house and stone shed next to it have been fenced off and turned into a County Park. It will remain untouched until it has completely fallen down.

Tested the Continuous High Speed function today and could at best get five or six shots per burst before it needed a breather. They are fast bursts able to stop action and much better than the M9M. Image 160 iso 50 M Summicron

I was  testing not only the M10M but a new 12mm Voigtlander lens ultra wide angle.

Live view allows me to accurately see what a ultra wide view at 121 degrees AOV will capture.

My testing was wide open 5.6, with auto speed and Auto ISO with a zone focus. This shot is ISO 3200. LR noise reduction, slight 8% cropping.

Other shots have hiked the ISO to 50,000 and there isn't that much difference.

The Manual camera setting for a no- Leica lens was for WATE set at 16mm.

The test was in a library and the shutter sound of the M10M is just amazingly silent.
