How to upload images: Prepare the image as follows: 1.   The image should be sRGB and 8-bits 2.   Reduce the size to 2480 pixels on the longest side. (smaller sizes can be set, but are not recommended) 3.   Sharpen properly for screen. 4.   Save as JPG to your desktop, reducing JPG quality to produce 2000 kB (5000 kB for sponsoring members). 5.   In Lightroom these parameters should be set in the Export dialog. 6.   In the Forum posting or editing box, click “choose Fil

As this series progresses, new avenues of creativity lend themselves to the evolution of the process. I think going forward the images which have always had an abstract presentation require further simplifications. That is, to be "more abstract". Up until now I have included at least one reality anchor via a structural component such as the railway tracks.

I took my SL2 & APO-Summicron-SL 50mm F/2 to Hawai'i for two weeks. I posted a few images by mistake to the SL2S image forum, but here is a 45 sec exposure from the Outrigger Canoe Club where we had dinner one night, looking back at Waikiki.

From the Honolulu Festival website: "Nagaoka Fireworks have marked the finale of the Honolulu Festival since 2012 thanks to the tremendous support of the city of Nagaoka. While fireworks are usually considered celebratory and entertaining in the US, Nagaoka Fireworks of the Honolulu Festival convey a strong message for the peace." These fireworks were so beautiful, so delicate and they were fired in conditions of very strong wind gusts.  SL2 + 50 SL APO
