Walked into the SF Leica store Friday, which is always dangerous. They didn't have the 35SL lens in stock, but I was able to get the second item on my wish list, a Q2. The Q has been a great travel companion for me when I am in cities (and to supplement monochrom in the country), and am looking forward to continued use with the Q2. The following are a few pics from walking down Grant St (Chinatown) and then Coit Tower. Happy Holidays to all!

Experimented with manual focus on this one.  Attempted to get the eye.  Maybe I will stick with auto focus.  Also went a little vivid with the colors.  Received a free year off Smugmug with my On1 Photo Raw upgrade so I am experimenting with that also.  Trying to decide between that and Flickr.  Which service do ya'll prefer between the two?

You’ll learn to enjoy manual focus at times. Focus Peaking really helps.

I use SmugMug extensively. It’s made for photographers, but I do not think of it as a social media kind of site. I create galleries and send links to friends and family. It’s also my last backup for my most cherished photos.

Just got my Q2 back from the factory to fix dust in the EVF. Great to have it back with me after so long. Thought I’d post a pic from Greece this summer - only camera I took to Europe.

Pagosa Spring Colorado.
Slowly I start to see the difference after playing q2 for 3 months, great color, sharp image, crop capability. I even start using manual focus when taking still images. Haha.

Experimenting with some color overload.  The original was boring, taken in very flat light.  I kind of like the vividness of these colors.
