I am working on a new genre of photography - the driveby.  It invented it out of boredom and necessity.  We were on a tight schedule on our trip down to SoCal, so my lead-foot wife did a lot of the driving.  (You can take the girl out of California, but you can't take California out of the Girl).  So, while speeding along at 65+ I knew I could not ask her to stop so I could take some pictures, so I devised the driveby.  Set the shutter on the Q2 to 1/40,000 (Yep, 4 zeros) aimed it out the side window and tried to time my shots to avoid obstructions.  Did not roll the window down as the temp was south of 20F a lot of the time.  What's the wind chill for 10F at 65mph?  Amazing what 1/40,000 can freeze.

This is just south of Mono Lake along hwy 395 in California.  F/4, 1/40,000 , ISO 3200
