How to upload images: Prepare the image as follows: 1.   The image should be sRGB and 8-bits 2.   Reduce the size to 2048 pixels on the longest side. (smaller sizes can be set, but are not recommended) 3.   Sharpen properly for screen. 4.   Save as JPG to your desktop, reducing JPG quality to produce 2000 kB (5000 kB for sponsoring members). 5.   In Lightroom these parameters should be set in the Export dialog. 6.   In the Forum posting or editing box, click “choose Fil

A walk around Rockcliff lake, West Virginia - batch 1

Last week our 'family bubble' drove off to take a break from the COVID imposed urban restrictions to spend the weekend at a remote home in West Virgina with enough food and supplies for the few days.  our nearest neighbour was too far away to be visible.  We took a walk around Rockcliff lake, about half a mile away, and didn't meet a soul.  So a calm, relaxed and well-distanced little holiday.

I was impressed with how this came out on the Q2 compared to what it looked like with my longer lens on the previous night.

Applause. I used the Q2 last night, was not happy with the results. I’ll keep trying.

Yes, that's nice.  You can clearly see the green glow.

My first attempt at photographing Neowise with the Q2 was a disaster.  I'd forgotten that manual focus goes just beyond infinity and it so so dark I couldn't see to check the settings.  Basic human error!  Made another attempt last night at the same location - a local churchyard - with a better result.  The comet is fading now, but still clearly visible.
