Viewing the threads of posted Q3 images and this one on the Q2, I see more natural images - not over contrasty - with the Q2 versus the Q3.  Does Anyone else see this?  Overall,  I prefer the images in this tread on the Q2, and it may influence which Q I purchase.

This comment is probably for a separate thread, but I think you need to know the photographer’s intent with the shot, which software program they used to process, and what settings in that program were adjusted.

Reminds me to the song  Saved by the Bell by Robin Gibb. Would he have liked it, if he was still alive ?  Photo was taken in Nice an processed according to my wish concerning colors.

The church tower is illuminated by floodlights, but it adds to the sunset light and the clouds.

I shot a Q2 for about 2 years and now use the Q3 since September and looking back at photos from both cameras I do not see much difference other than at low light the Q3 does produce a higher quality image.  Since I am the one processing all of these, I imagine my work flow has a more substantial impact on how they look than any differences in the cameras, with the exception of low light/high ISO.  These are my impressions. If you tend to shoot at higher ISO/low light situations the Q3 would be a no brainer.  If you crop a lot, the extra few MP might make a difference or not.  48 to 60 is not that big a deal.  In some ways the Q2 is better as the Q3 has a few quirks that for some might be a problem, like the long startup and the viewfinder blackout, but for me the are an annoyance but not a problem. You have to decide for yourself based on the kinds of photos you tend to take.
