Frozen Soap Bubbles.  They did not maintain their integrity very long as it was too warm. (23F, -5C)  These are 7 image stacks and cropped quite a bit since my tripod did not allow me to get as close as I would have liked without looking down from above too much.  I have done this when it was much colder and had better luck, but that was with my Nikon.

I have to thank you for that. When I was 17-18 I lived one year in Raleigh NC. Brought back a lot of memories. Nice picture👍

Orchids, which are more rare than the usual ones. All at high ISOs - ISO 6400.

Some frost on some leaves I spotted on a recent walk.  "Macro" mode of Q2 with a moderate crop.

A star shot with the Q2.  Perhaps stretching what it was designed for.  ISO 800, f/2, 4.0s.  I notice a lot of coma in the corners.  I returned my first copy of the Q2 because of this thinking I had a defective lens, but this one does the same thing.  And I just noticed a photo on the Q2 Monochrom image thread by Mike Gould (NightPix) that has the same comma.  I guess that is normal for this lens.  Has anyone else tried this?

My wife had to special order this for me.  Was supposed to be a Christmas present, but it just came in yesterday.  Difficult to get.

Two times red matter: Do you plan to destroy the universe?

Cool pictures btw :)

😋 no I am just a big fan of Star Trek and the light met my expectation.
so as I am pushing around the photons, that are grabbed by the camera, I am introducing something that wasn’t there and grabbing it at the same time.
reminds me of my first print.

But very nice that you noticed the reference and pointed out the plot of Star Trek.

By the way it will all and in darkness….

🤣

I am also a huge Star Trek fan, borderlining to be nerdish :D

A few pics from my hike yesterday. It was very stormy but a much better weather than I anticipated. I walked up to the summit at 1569m. A very enjoyable trip in our Chiemgauer Alps.

Summit 2. The Q2 is a perfect companion for such hikes. Much more enjoyable then the SL2s, but of course a bit less versatile (vs. 24-90).

Have just decided to switch from Luminar to Lightroom. So going through some earlier images. From a summer-party for the kids around here. Action!

Btw, interesting light-phenomena caused by the trampoline-net.
