My first pictures! Went for a quick stroll with an 80%+ charged battery (couldn't wait)... love this camera. You guys weren't joking when you said it was silent 😮. Still need to figure out all the focusing stuff (coming from an MP240), but I can manage landscapes.

I posted this one previously, but it was with preliminary processing since I didn’t have access to Photoshop or Lightroom Classic while traveling.  This was taken at ISO 1600, 8s exposures, f/2.0.  Fifteen or sixteen separate exposures total to reduce noise.  Jupiter is at upper right and Saturn is just above the right peak of the tree.  Not enough exposure time to get a reflection of the Milky Way in the pond, unfortunately.  Auto align in Photoshop failed on this image so I had to stack manually.  Still, it was better than what I could arrange in Affinity Photo on the iPad (which would only work in 8-bit mode due to Lightroom/iOS limitations).

The Q2 is an amazing camera.  I went on a wildlife photo day at the weekend, the other participants were using Canon and Nikon with 400mm to 600mm lens and everyone laughed at my little Leica.  Well, the Q2 can hold its own . . . the first photo is the full frame image and the second an extreme crop, probably the equivalent of 200mm.  What fun!

Some summertime macro with my Q2. A few of these were done with a macro adaptor attached.

Butterfly fun.  Not taken in macro mode, just a tight crop.  F2.8 1/1000 ISO 160
