How to upload images: Prepare the image as follows: 1.   The image should be sRGB and 8-bits 2.   Reduce the size to 2048 pixels on the longest side. (smaller sizes can be set, but are not recommended) 3.   Sharpen properly for screen. 4.   Save as JPG to your desktop, reducing JPG quality to produce 2000 kB (5000 kB for sponsoring members). 5.   In Lightroom these parameters should be set in the Export dialog. 6.   In the Forum posting or editing box, click “choose Fil

Reflecting at the war memorial in my town.  Monuments with the names of those who sacrificed for WW1 WW2, Korean War and Vietnam War.  There is also a monument to those who served in the Civil War down the walk a little ways.  I converted to black and white  because the light was so harsh as it was right around mid day.  The amount of green was also overpowering. F4 1/160 ISO   100.

Michigan Supreme Court Building.  Known locally, among government employees, as the Taj Mahal.  No, that is not lens distortion, the building really is built in a curve.

I'm still at it and trying to improve on my earlier Hummingbird images. We have a season of less than four months in the summer when the birds are present. Otherwise they are in northern Mexico or very southern Texas, New Mexico and Arizona over winter. 

This is close to OOC. I did some cropping, sharpening and noise reduction as well as a little saturation adjustment. Otherwise, it's as I saw it. I struggled getting enough light on the bird thus my larger aperture and reduced DOF. Normally this type of image is taken exactly from the side where DOF is not as critical. I set up for a 45 degree angle shot to the front. On this one the rear of the bird is not sharp. I also left the clamp on the flower to show how I accomplished holding and positioning it. Leica Q2, 1/2000, f/6.3, ISO 400, on tripod, one Canon MR-14 RX II Ring flash mounted on camera and four Canon 600 EX-RT flashes all at 1/64 power.

I had to look this one up.  It is a 1929 Graham Paige.  It was Detroit made.  Never heard of it before but it was stunning!  Q2

I am back from my travels these past 2 weeks and here is some of my work from a trip to Maine, Acadia NP.  For a few I did bracket and merge in Lightroom.  I also have been using the texture control in LR in a negative setting to smooth the images a bit, I am liking this new control.

Nice. Very nice! That’s a tip moving the texture slider to the left. I’ll give it try.

Great loved everything about this park, it was hard with all the visitors but I made it work, I wish they would keep the Kayaks out of Jordan Pond, as it took forever to get some images witout them in the background.
