How to upload images: Prepare the image as follows: 1.   The image should be sRGB and 8-bits 2.   Reduce the size to 2048 pixels on the longest side. (smaller sizes can be set, but are not recommended) 3.   Sharpen properly for screen. 4.   Save as JPG to your desktop, reducing JPG quality to produce 2000 kB (5000 kB for sponsoring members). 5.   In Lightroom these parameters should be set in the Export dialog. 6.   In the Forum posting or editing box, click “choose Fil

Hi.  The darn bug would not stay still for more than a split second.  I will have to give the macro mode a try next time I am looking at something that small.  This pic is quite a big crop.  This is the original before the crop.

Advertisement (gone after registration)

Finally seeing some success with the FOTOS App this morning. I placed my Q2 in the yard on a tripod waiting for the morning turkey visit. Thanks to member, JARED, for helping me figure out that I needed to be in Touch AF mode to make focusing work on the App. Here are a couple shots. Representative of my efforts. Not award winners for sure, but possibilities exist for future work. Q2, 1/125, f/1.7, ISO 125.

Your b&w conversions look very good. Do you use an preset or do you adjust new every time?

I just usr the Adobe mono profile with about +12 contrast. I'll occationally make a exposure correction (normally only 0.1 to 0.5 stops). I don't often do more than that. 

I always shoot in b&w mode in camera so im seeing in b&w and looking for light that works well for it.
