Did you try macro mode? It’s incredible! How about a tighter crop in post? The Q2 resolution is very strong.

Hi.  The darn bug would not stay still for more than a split second.  I will have to give the macro mode a try next time I am looking at something that small.  This pic is quite a big crop.  This is the original before the crop.

I bought the Q to photograph my girls growing up (currently 2 & 6).  Had it about 5 days so far and really enjoying it :)

Wonderful photos! I also use my Q2, as well as all my cameras, to document my daughter growing.

Your b&w conversions look very good. Do you use an preset or do you adjust new every time?

Nice images from the Q2.  File size not a problem.

I just usr the Adobe mono profile with about +12 contrast. I'll occationally make a exposure correction (normally only 0.1 to 0.5 stops). I don't often do more than that.

I always shoot in b&w mode in camera so im seeing in b&w and looking for light that works well for it.

Nice. I'll be back in Boston in two weeks. Curious ----- what was your ISO for this photo?

Settings - ƒ/1.7,  1/250s,  ISO 1600

Have fun in Boston.
