So it is. I was viewing with my phone screen but I saw more clearly when I got on the big monitor. I wonder how many silver copies were made?

I also have a silver version starting 4351xxx.  I believe it was only the final year of production the silver Monochrom was made so there can't be that many.

Does anyone know how many silver models were made?

The only reference I've been able to find is Leica's own press release from May 2014, which stated they were being released in very limited quantities. Based on the limited time they were in production and they fact that Leica were producing far more black chrome models during the same period, I'd be very surprised if there were more than 250 made.

I don't know how true this is but..

I was once told the silver Monochrom was only introduced because a very wealthy customer wanted a Monochrom in silver; also 1 out of every 6 Monochroms made was silver.  How true this is I don't know, but I thought I would share.

When my Monocrom went in to have its sensor replaced I spoke to Wetzlar over the phone to arrange delivery.  I asked how rare the silver Monochrom is, not surprisingly they wouldn't tell me.

Another chrome 4351xxx here as well.

Mine purchased direct from Wetzlar under the refurbished program, as mentioned earlier in this thread.  I asked for the Leica script to be added on the top plate.  I wonder how many Chrome MM1 have that?  Lovely camera, and the main reason why I probably won't be purchasing the new M10M even though I'm number 2 on my dealer's list.

Lovely, indeed. If you don't mind, may I ask what the price was?

My 4351xxx wich i love so much. Ordered it from US to Russia, when find one new with good price (3900$) and already replaced censor. Wasn't sure about the color for the first time, while now i'm absolutely happy with it (and lucky as it seems to be rare due to this this thread). So exited with news about new MM, but my M9M is so personal and loved thing.

Basic price was €3,250, which is €250 more than a refurbished M9P.  I then asked for the Leica script to be added and that cost an extra €250 so €3,500 in total.

I guess this is right at the top end for a MM1, but the camera is as near to new as you can get.  The shutter count was just 114 on delivery.  Only downside was a lot of dust on the sensor straight out of the box, but have booked into Leica London next week for a free clean.

I do think that coloured leathers look much better on a chrome body.  Interesting to see Leica are now offering this service on most modern cameras.

I have a silver MM1 made for me by special order direct from Wetzlar with the Leica script top engraving. It is not in the previously noted serial range for chrome MM1 cameras at 43514xx.

I thought I had the only one like this, but I guess there are two!

Ah . . . two of a kind!  Was this part of the M9/MM refurbishment program?  If so, what colour leather did you choose?

Here's a picture of mine. I realized the engraving is a little different from yours.

This engraving is beautiful, particularly next to the "MONOCHROM" in block letters.
