Another proxy day in rainy Stour done with Snapchat and affinity on iPad Pro .............I have the full rainbow taken with my Q2 as the noctilux wasn’t wide enough but I left the Q2 in the car so will mess with that tonight.

Affinty and 5 pints of Tenets don’t mix well at night so now just editing in the morning with a little fuzzy head.

I get the biggest cards I can for a reasonable price and keep one per camera (2 for the SL). I don't ever remember changing them except when I've bought a new camera. All mine now use 64Gb cards. That's big enough for most trips without reformatting. Once uploaded to my laptop or PC, and from there to the cloud, I will reformat the card. I don't delete in camera (the screen is too small for the difficult to judge images, and I'm not so short of space that I need to delete the obvious duds).

I don't doubt card failure happens, but I've been in digital since the early days without experiencing one. I'd be interested in hearing about actual card failures. Can they be attributed to sins like deleting in camera?

In a similar vein, who here has lost an SSD drive because it's been written to too many times?

Photography is no more immune to urban myths than any other part of life, so some facts based on first hand experience in the LUF would be handy.

That’s me done with my photography in Scotland. Just chilling with my kids for the next 5 days before heading to England’s Lake District. When I get home I will put together a best of the Uk 2019 or something like that and then wait for the SL2 which will be out in December. In the meantime I will sell the M10 and that will be me with SL2 plus Q2..........the specs of the SL2 are impressive, I think there will be a lot of smiling faces on here come December

My wife giving me a rare smile at  dooland castle

This is not an image display forum. You posted this one in the Q2 thread already. (and a nearly identical one in the M10 forum.) Please use the image threads and photoforums for the display of your images.

In response to the original question: On longer trips I bring a small macbook with an external drive and Lightroom Classic with relevant presets installed. As a minimum I import to the drive as a backup. Usually I also do an iterative culling to end with selects for development. When time permits I will develop and maybe even keyword those selects. When home I load everything into the main catalog, check if any masterpieces were overlooked, review development settings, and cull rejects. The developed photos are now ready for an album, sending/posting, printing, etc.
