ynp Posted July 9, 2019 Share #1  Posted July 9, 2019 Advertisement (gone after registration) Hello, I have just sold my Sony equipment and was offered to trade my remaining lenses for an Apo- Telyt 180/3.4. I already have the R-L adapter and use my Leica R macro lenses on my CL. Is the 180mm lens is usable on the CL body for handheld shooting? What’s the general opinion on the E60 later version of the Apo-Telyt? Thank you, Yevgeny

jaapv Posted July 9, 2019 Share #2  Posted July 9, 2019 Why not? Stellar lens. Just keep the shutter speed up. Both versions are optically identical.

I hope i will find a use for the Apo-Telyt on my trips.
jaapv Posted July 10, 2019 Share #4  Posted July 10, 2019 That is correct However, albeit certainly not a macro lens it is quite satisfactory still at shorter distances.
lct Posted July 10, 2019 Share #5  Posted July 10, 2019 +1 the pic below has been shot at MFD but the latter is longish on the R 180/3.4 apo (2.5m). The lens feels also heavy (750g) on a compact camera like the CL. Not a big deal if you need 280mm equiv. focal length otherwise i much prefer the M 135/3.4 apo on this body personally. YMMV. https://photos.smugmug.com/photos/i-MXVKMwG/1/d47e1fcd/X3/i-MXVKMwG-X3.jpg
