No, unfortunately it does not. The GPS is not in the M-E 240 Menu and does not put position in your pictures. Happy Thanksgiving and thank you for responding. Just to confirm, the grip I was referencing was model number 14496 which does not have a built-in connector unlike the 14495 version. I was curious as to whether the 14496 would "fit" the M-E typ 240 body, sorry for not being more clear in my original question. Best regards. Happy Turkey Day to you as well. To be clear, both Grips 14496 and MFG 14494 fit on the M-E. The outside dimensions are the same compared to the "M". Also, I did not notice any difference in how fast [or slow] both cameras reacted to turn-on and snapping pictures, i.e. the same. The larger buffer is good on the M-E if you're shooting long sequences of rapid succession pictures. I think they both have the same sensor, so no real difference in IQ. There's a very slight difference in image size; M-E=5952X3968 vs. M=5976X3992, of 240K pixels... This could be because my M240 has had its sensor replaced, its old sensor was the same as in the M-E (5952X3968)? 1 Link to post Share on other sites More sharing options...
