At f/8, not wide open?

No, shot at 0,95. I did a series from wide open until f/5,6. I initially thought the same when I viewed the photo because of the sunstars, but that is not the case. The recorded data shows f/1,4 but there is no consistency with what is recorded when you shoot wide open.

Fair enough but it wasn't only the sunstars but the huge depth of field in the picture where the reflections in the water right through to the building in the distance are sharp.  It didn't seem like even hyperfocal distance at f/0.95 would provide that but if you're sure it was wide open then fair enough.

Pete.

Happy New Year.  This is the continuation of the effort to capture Baltimore at its best; please see here.**  I asked for a permission and the gentleman complied with a smile.  The shot is taken with SL2-S and the lens is set at full aperture--the file is straight out of the camera.  Of course, resolution improves considerably when the shot is viewed on the light-box .

** The meeting took place near Walters Art Museum; please see here.  I recommend visiting the museum whenever you are in the area.
