  1. And not far at all from the guard's shot above on Pennsylvania Avenue in Washington, DC, I found this happy gathering celebrating the wedding of the second person on the left (first line). I waited till the groom gave a lovely smile, and I grabbed the shot. I used the M10M with 50mm APO at full aperture; the image is edited with Silver Efex. The exchanged pleasantries with the groom and his friends were happy and full of hope for a wonderful future. Kindly observe that resolution improves considerably when viewed on the light-box. Regards.
  2. This shot is the continuation of an attempt to capture the smiles in Washington, DC and its vicinity; please look here and here. During a walk yesterday, not far from Pennsylvania Avenue, I used the M10M with 50mm APO at full aparture to capture the guard's smile; the image is edited with Silver Efex. We first established an eye contact with a nod to affirm her permission to take the shot. Kindly observe that resolution improves considerably when viewed on the light-box. Regards.
  3. Thank you, TC. I trust you mean this adapter, here. This site seems to have them but clearly prior knowledge is needed to order the right adapter; assuming, of course, that it will fit your equipment. Needless to say that I have no relationship with this site. Regards.
  4. Le Chef, you are way too kind. Thank you.
  5. This is a lightly cropped shot using Q2 taken during a walk last December, 2021. The place is a quaint and pleasant town in Maryland, USA, by the name of Havre de Grace; more about it is here. And, as you might have already guessed, I am seriously thinking about the Q2M. Of course, resolution improves considerably when the shot is viewed on the light-box
  6. From only few weeks ago, the is another captivating smile of a proud owner of a bookstand in a Sunday Market around the 14th street in Washington, DC. Her smile, spirit, and the discussion pertaining to the focus of her bookstand (gender studies) reflected accurately the beautiful character of this great city. The shot is taken with the newly acquired APO Summicron SL 35mm set at full aperture with de minims cropping in CO21. Of course, resolution improves considerably when the shot is viewed on the light-box . Regards. PS. Sometimes I miss the 50mm focal length. And if so, should it be the SL Summicron or Summilux?
  7. The smile was captivating and I simply couldn't ignore it; it is Baltimore at its best. I asked for a permission and the smile even shined more. The shot is taken with the newly acquired APO Summicron SL 35mm set at full aperture and processed in CO21. Of course, resolution improves considerably when the shot is viewed on the light-box . Regards.
  8. Halloween time with the grandchildren. One cannot but thank the neighbors for their elaborate work and effort to enhance the festive mode of everyone around them. Kindly observe that resolution improves appreciably when viewed on the light-box. Regards.
  9. This is an ad hoc--therefore, possibly meaningless--attempt to compare between the output of the Leica Q2M at full aperture, with the Leica M10M with 50mm Noctilux 0.95 (full aperture, here), and SL2 with Vario-Elamrit 24-70 at 24mm and full aperture (here). I have used both LR and CO21 to edit both the Leica Q2M and the SL2 shots. This artwork, almost certainly for a Moslem praying, is part of the exhibitions of a new museum here in Washington, DC. More about the museum, Planet Word, is here. Please share your thoughts and kindly observe that resolution improves considerably when viewed on the light-box. Regards.

  11. And the final shot in the series. It is noteworthy that at this time of the day and with a 10-stop ND filter, the autofocus hunted a lot. Apart from this observation, the SL2 is indeed very enjoyable. Regards.

Furthermore, I am also continuing my frequent discovery trips to Washington, DC. The trips in this wonderful city streets are very enjoyable, particularly that I often meet extremely nice and friendly people (see here, for example). 19. I came to the SL2 with the Vario Elmarit 24-70 from the M world in which I used the M9M, M246, and M10M. I am still learning the ropes with the SL2 and this is an attempt with SilverEfex to express in monochrome this shot that I commonly use. This work, titled "king and Queen" is by Henry Moore, and is located in the Hirshhorn Museum and Sculpture Garden. You can read more about Moore's work here and compare this shot to similar ones posted on the Forum, albeit with Noctilux, here . 20. I aim still learning how to use the newly acquired SL2 with the Vario-Elmarit 24-70mm. 21. This is among the first shots from a newly acquired SL2 with Vario-Elmarit 24-70mm. I have taken the shot of the Lady with Fawn in Washington (more about her is here), at 70mm with full aperture. The file is a straight OOC. A similar shot of the same statue with Q2 is here, and another with Summilux 28mm (with M240) is here. Each lens and camera do reflect unique characteristics and are all very enjoyable. The SL2 is certainly not an exception. Of course, resolution improves considerably when the shot is viewed on the light-box . Regards.
