Graham, So happy to see you are enjoying my old E58 F1 and finding such dynamic and stimulating subject matter, I am honored! Now it's your turn to own it for 47 years and capture a lifetime of memories.

@farnz  This image is truly outstanding.  It makes me want a 75 Noctilux.

A lot of people just don't get it, but GOOD GOD there is such magic to be had at f/1.4 and wider apertures.

Thankyou again Mark. Honoured to take custodianship of this wonderful lens and looking forward to many more years of creating memories. What a beautifully crafted lens it is also 😁

I’ve just traded a nocti f1.2 and I’m struggling to focus and get a sharp image. I don’t like the visoflex so I’m trying to just use the rangefinder. Hopefully my skills will improve with more use but I really like the bokeh

I had once a 1.0 / 50 and at least wide open I had to learn to say goodbye to the idea of absolute sharpness. It is a quite soft lens and as i read the 1.2 is a tad softer as the 50.
For my opinion these lenses are better used on mirrorless cameras where the focusing is much easier than in a optical rangefinder…

Spent another day practicing focusing and it seems like my hit rate is improving! Really like the way it renders!
