I like the bokeh and always take pictures at night so big aperture is important for me. There is a difference in look. If you choose for the Cron you get into a line of Lenses 28/35/50/75/90 Crons, which give you somewhat the same look despite different angles. So this is what is unique to the Cron Family. With a Lux you always get a individual Look with every focal length. So a 50 Lux will have a different Look to a 35mm Lux or 21mm Lux. So in my opinion the decision you facing first is: Do I just want one lens and stick with that for a long time or do I start with more than one lens. If you choose for one lens go with the 35mm Lux, awesome lens. Many would claim you don't need anything else and 95% of their photos can be made with this lens. Which to some extend is true. If you start right away with more than one lens I would go for compact and versatile. Means 21mm 35mm 75mm. The Super-Elmar 21mm is the best optical performer around this focal lens throughout all manufacturers regarding its tiny size. There is nothing that can beat this in overall performance. The 35mm Cron is a legend. The combination about size, optical performance and prize is only beaten by the 50mm Cron. A true allrounder for 95% of your shots. I mention the 75mm Cron because of 3 reasons: first the size is not that far away from a 50 Lux but more handy than a 90 Cron. Second it is a sharp performer with the nice Cron look and it is a very good buddy to the 35mm Cron. Third and last the lens is as a moderate tele lens perfect for portraits and it doesn't intimidate the subject, significantly less than with a 90 Cron. You can get closer with the 75mm. So there is much to like about this lens. So given your photographic objects Travel, Family including portraits I would (uhh hard to decide) but go for the more versatile three lens version, but only if you are willing to change lenses, otherwise go with the M10 and 35mm Lux combination, you won't miss anything , except 0,5% UWW and TELE. Hey Arly, just checked with a German dealer on the phone and he tried it with an M10. The 21mm you definitively need a extra viewfinder. The 24mm you can use the build in viewfinder, which will cover the whole 24mm, but you don't have any lines. So if you don't want to carry around an extra viewfinder, then the only option is the 24mm. The only "but" is, that the 21mm 3,4 is better than the 24mm 3,8. And that doesn't mean that the 24mm is very good, which it is. So if you go for a wide angle lens without the viewfinder go for the 24mm. When having the 21mm on the M10 in the VF you see the 28mm framelines. With a little bit of testing and experience it is quite easy to guess the angle of view of the 21mm. So when you choose 21 super elmar, 28 cron, 35 lux and 50 lux then they all have 46mm filters. I personally like that as I just use one single filter.
