david strachan Posted October 7, 2018 Share #2 Posted October 7, 2018 Beaut pictures...not an easy rig to work (particularly the viewfinder reduction with M8 & Visoflex), and it's size. Like the exposures and backgrounds. ...
lm_user Posted October 7, 2018 Author Share #3 Posted October 7, 2018 (edited) Thx. - Focus is a little difficult. I am getting better... - Tape on focus screen for M8 crop - Holding steady easier than I expected - Verticals difficult without integrated cable release. Planning to make one some day. Maybe this winter - lens has been on my wish list for a long time. Breaks down to smallish size. Fits on my M8 which is coming with me anyway. I can make it work for wildlife because they generally do not move too fast. Not a good choice for sports Edited October 7, 2018 by lm_user
abrewer Posted October 7, 2018 Share #4 Posted October 7, 2018 Each sunny day upon my way A goat I pass; He has a beard of silver grey, A bell of brass. And all the while I am in sight He seems to muse, And stares at me with all his might And chews and chews. stuny Posted October 7, 2018 Share #5 Posted October 7, 2018 Lovely. The rear view of wildlife, I like to refer to as a "tourist view.

jaeger Posted November 19, 2018 Share #7 Posted November 19, 2018 Advertisement (gone after registration) The Visoflex seems to block the light meter to work. Do you half press the lever, open the flap and let the meter to work or you just manually adjust ISO and shutter speed?
lm_user Posted November 19, 2018 Author Share #8 Posted November 19, 2018 I almost always shoot in manual mode. If I don’t know the exposure I will manually move mirror out of the way th use the in camera meter. In either case I always take a test shot and check the histgram. Then all is well Helps prevent errors Note - the viso also blocks the ambient light sensor so the exif estimate of exposure will be wrong in this case - I think I shot at f/6.8, 1/750th, ISO 160. If scattered clouds I like to use an automatic exposure. Light changes unexpectedly. With the viso setup I just have to adjust exposure every time the sun goes behind a cloud or live with underexposed cloudy light images. In this shot changing light was not an issue
