octo Posted December 30, 2018 Share #83 Posted December 30, 2018 Stefan, If at all possible, I'd like to join in; but it's way too early to commit. I'll follow this thread, though and your leads about hotels... 1
octo Posted December 30, 2018 Share #84 Posted December 30, 2018 Well, actually, you'd better not change the date Stefan: I have just booked our flights (significant other coming along) and reserved the hotel, thanks to Andy 's well informed advice:) 2

lanetomlane Posted January 3, 2019 Share #88 Posted January 3, 2019 Flights booked, out on the 16 April and back on the 7 May. Will think about hotels nearer the time. Thought of driving up to Boston before the big event; appreciate any comments, alternatives or recommendations from anyone the other side of the pond. Cheers, Tom 1

erl Posted January 3, 2019 Share #93 Posted January 3, 2019 VERY tentative advance preparation. I need to satisfy three critera (at least) to be able to make the Challenge. 1. Satisfactory health report in February. 2. Workable arrangement to 'dog sit' Jupiter, my reactive German Shepherd. 3. Ability to finance the proposed event. Currently I am working towards a three pronged solution. Here's hoping. 4
StS Posted January 3, 2019 Author Share #94 Posted January 3, 2019 Would be brilliant to have you in, John. Is it possible to discuss with Jupiter that he is actually Australian and thus entitled to relax? Stefan
erl Posted January 4, 2019 Share #95 Posted January 4, 2019 Discussing with Jupiter always seems to be a win for him rather than me! I'm still working on it though. 1

farnz Posted January 4, 2019 Share #97 Posted January 4, 2019 By Jupiter I hope you can come to New York, John, although I understand that there are one or two obstacles to overcome. But I've never known obstacles to hold you back. 🙂 Pete.
sblitz Posted January 5, 2019 Share #98 Posted January 5, 2019 So excited you guys are coming to my home town. Do not know about the hotel per se, but the neighborhood is great and there are lots of subway lines to easily take you wherever you want to go. 4
