I am experimenting with stereo photography.  The image on the left was with a Lumix S5 and Summilux-R 50mm v.1. The right image was a Lumix S1 and Hexanon 1.4 (because I don't have two Summilux-Rs.)  This was a proof of concept shot I did last Friday and "printed" on a Holmes-style card.  Yes, I know that the exposures aren't identical.  I'm not sure why not, but interestingly it has no effect on the stereo imaging.   

The second attached image is the hardware setup.

It is possible to "free view" the stereo photo without using auxiliary stereo lenses (like a Holmes stereoscope.)  Instructions are available here:

Post 3234 gives an excellent stereoscopic impression also.

I use one camera for stereo pictures by taking 2 pictures after one other. Very good pictures does the Lytro Illum camera (a one-lensed camera) deliver. I use a small stereoscopic iPad of Polaroid for viewing.

Of the examples given the head picture is the only one I can see freehand. But I must keep my eyes not lined horizontally.
