How to upload images: Prepare the image as follows: 1.   The image should be sRGB and 8-bits 2.   Reduce the size to 2480 pixels on the longest side. (smaller sizes can be set, but are not recommended) 3.   Sharpen properly for screen. 4.   Save as JPG to your desktop, reducing JPG quality to produce 2000 kB (5000 kB for sponsoring members). 5.   In Lightroom these parameters should be set in the Export dialog. 6.   In the Forum posting or editing box, click “c

Reed Beetle on Cabin Pond, Swaddywell Pit Nature Reserve near Peterborough, 04 August 2019

Leitz Telyt R 560/6.8, Stacked Leitz R 1.4x and 2x APO extenders, Leitz R bellows - Gitzo tripod, Jobu gimbal - Leica SL 601. Insect was approx 2.5m from pond edge.  Effective aperture approx. f22, 1/60sec ISO 1600

Magnificent Elephant Bull, Zuka Game Reserve South Africa, he's probably around 45 to 50 years old.

You'll notice a bullet hole in his left ear. At some point in this guy's past, when this area was previously a hunting zone, some dickbrained hunter tried to shoot him and missed the head shot.....thankfully!
