enboe Posted June 30, 2018 Share #1 Posted June 30, 2018 Advertisement (gone after registration) Pulling this topic up to a headline. I performed the M10 2.4.5.0 upgrade last night. It was the longest of any firmware upgrades I have performed, easily 10 minutes. I also started with a 100% battery and it used a full 10%, so be sure to start with a fully-charged battery. Off to play with the new firmware today. Eric
Advertisement Posted June 30, 2018 Posted June 30, 2018 Hi enboe, Take a look here Do not panic! 2.4.5.0 takes a long time to load and uses a measurable amount of battery charge. I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
microview Posted June 30, 2018 Share #2 Posted June 30, 2018 Yes, about 10min and LUF admin warns that full charge necessary before installing firmware. However, I took three or four pics, deleted singles (to test revised method) but charge percent showing is still 95.
charles_nl Posted June 30, 2018 Share #3 Posted June 30, 2018 Yes, but this is the second time that the upgrade did not go painless. After the screen told me "update successful - will restart now" all went dark and M10 dead. Switching on/off no effect. Until I finally took battery out and put it in again. I think I put the battery in the M10 with switch in off position (not sure) and M10 told me that there was no valid firmware, to insert a card with valid firmware (it still was in the M10) and it proceeded then to install the new firmware (all without manual intervention). But I got the whole chain again (successful but no valid firmware as result). Only the 3rd attempt was finally really successful. A previous upgrade had similar difficulties. Anybody else? ckuwajima Posted July 1, 2018 Share #6 Posted July 1, 2018 The update went effortless to me, and the time it took was not remarkably long or short compared to the last update.

pedaes Posted July 5, 2018 Share #9 Posted July 5, 2018 About five minutes with a 'slow' card and no problems.
M11 for me Posted July 5, 2018 Share #10 Posted July 5, 2018 Mine took 10 mins starting from from latest firmware.
Abram Posted July 5, 2018 Share #11 Posted July 5, 2018 I didn't experience any complications with the update but I was also using a fast SD card that was freshly formatted. I did use a freshly charged battery as well but that's just a habitual trait I've established over years of using digital cameras.
