Just to demonstrate my point here is a Noctilux 75 mm sample. I focused on the tip of the nose, and the left eye was already off... )))

Why did you focus on the nose? Just because it is more easy to achieve with a rangefinder? That, of course, doesn't work with a 1.25 lens. This technique is even critical using a 50/2.

For me, the most important thing is, how the lens renders (the character!?). So far, I am more impressed by photos taken with the Noctilux 50/0.95 compared to the Noctilux 75.

However, the Noctilux 75 renders light a 50 apo with better focal length for portraits and wider aperture... And I am absolutely fascinated by the 50 apo rendering (and lens size).

+1.  If used for portraits/headshots this lens is made to focus on one eye. This excludes the nose, I’m afraid.

M11 with Noctilux 75, wide open. Click through for hi-res.

Buy a good strap and you won't regret hauling this lens around all day.
