I agree entirely… atmosphere and engagement. In a way the OOF pulls the viewer in.

Good to see you posting here, as well as in the your mothership, the RFF.

Very kind Steve, Thanks much !

good points 'Atmosphere & Engagement'

somehow 'feel' more at home here  now than on RFF... strange but True.  Always good to be surprised & find one's friends.

Cheers & Best, Ever yours~ HH

It's the subject matter and the emotive quality that  moves me to shoot, Atmosphere

pulling the viewer in...now some will rake me over the coals...Life is ever changing, lows, highs, sorrows & bliss... and this poor soul refuses help

Love this Helen !

really love this, did you use rodinal dilution 1;25? well the lighting is already amazing

Thanks, I appreciate it very much, 🙂… currently I am using Rodinal at 1:50 and it works quite well. I am getting more consistent using it and alternating with DD-X. I love both but the acuity of Rodinal is really nice. Perhaps I will try 1:25 soon just to see how it works for me.

Btw, the wood carving was a gift from our dear friends in Lombardy this Christmas. It is a small decoration that we placed on our Christmas tree but it soon became a popular motif in various locations. The morning light was just right for this particular image.
