Beautiful shot! I don’t know why, but the rendering looks way more classic than the FLE!

I have to disagree on that statement. I owned both , used side by side. You can not tell them apart, except 

1. There is way less focus shift (and no, this has nothing to do with the version of the pre FLE. I thought so too but Leica explained it to me in detail why people think this)

2. because of 1 the picture can be sharper (depending on distance and aperture), but the overall rendering has not changed so much.

3. Disclaimer: this is my personal experience on film!

Which one is which? Porta 800 and Leica M7... I have 20x30 Prints and can't tell the difference on infinity, at f 5.6

Unfortunately just to upload these pictures, they is sharpening applied, so the pictures look different in that regard,
