some photos taken on Fuji Superia Xtra 400 in New Westminster, BC and Montreal, QC on my Leica MP / 28mm Elmarit ASPH II

The laneway image reminds me of Montreal. I like the 2nd image. Au plaisir. Carl.

Haha thank you! Yes, those laneways in MTL are so so beautiful. It’s such a wonderful city to visit (at least in summer, haven’t been in winter!)

Autumn is also a very nice moment to visit. Montreal does get really cold and humid in the winter. Regards. Carl

Just wanted to thank everyone for the Well Wishes.  As a follow up, this was in the past and was a difficult time in my life.  I’m pleased to let you know, I’m cancer free and cherish everyday I’m still here.

On a side note, this photo opportunity no longer exists.  The wall is still there, the ivy is gone and a new radiation treatment expansion center was built in the parking spots.  However, the photo proudly hangs in the patient check-in room and another copy is in my doctors home.  I presented both to them after receiving my “all clear” news…

So glad to hear.  What a wonderful gift for the season.

A corner of block 151 of the Wyndford estate in Glasgow, photographed on Tuesday.

Leica M4, 35mm Summilux FLE mk1, Kodak Portra 160.

If anyone is interested I have a zine out, documenting the last couple of years of the estate.

A picture taken on Tuesday in Glasgow, during a spell of sub-zero temperatures..

Leica M4, 35mm Summilux FLE mk1, Kodak Portra 160.

I was shooting Portra 160 because I haven't been able to buy my go-to option of Portra 400. It always seems to be sold out. I've not got a lot of experience of the 160 emulsion. Online reviews seem rather lukewarm about it. I have to say that - for these wintry scenes at least - I like the more neutral, less pastel-coloured tones, and the grain is noticeably finer than Portra 400.

Yes, this Indian Temple is interesting.  They seem to have more Chinese worshipers than Indians.  In your picture, ALL 4 are Chinese.

(Btw, religious harmony is guaranteed by Law in Singapore.  Different races co-exist rather peacefully here.  Rare find these days.)
