which one you choose: Elmarit 28 asph V1 or v2 or Summicron 28 asph v1

I had a 28 Summicron v.1 and it is a great lens with a fugly lens hood as dkmoore rightly observes.

As noted elsewhere in these forums the 12589 hood is a fit on the V1, it is aesthetically more pleasing and doesn't drop off or break, ( I was on my third, one dropped off to be lost whilst carrying another fell apart) it has the "new" twist and lock mechanism which I find very secure. The drawback, always one at least, is it rather cramps access to the aperture ring, if you tend to alter aperture from the front it is awkward, if you alter with the finger of the left hand underneath the lens it is not an issue.

I have no experience with the 28/2.8 asph v2 but i find it too bulky compared to v1 so for the same price i would certainly prefer a 28/2 v1 which is not that bigger provided it is in good shape of course.

28mm Summicron v1, provided there are no issues with the lens optically and the lens functions fine (aperture, focus rings, no issue with build). In my books it's worth more than the Elmarit asph v2.

Tks all comments

In my country,s/h market for Summicron 28 is rare, I skipped a cron 28 v1 until now I haven't found used cron and I have a chance an used Elmar 24 F3.8 ASPH at $1500. I have a question how is FOV of 24mm in OVF M10, I attached 28mm FOV on M10 it is ok but dont know about 24mm. And elmar 24 f3.8 asph is ok for street portrait? I'm using 50lux.
