Guest VVJ Posted March 3, 2018 Share #21 Posted March 3, 2018 Advertisement (gone after registration) The only other lens I would quite like would be a Summilux or even Noctilux/Noctiron version of the 23mm (35mm EFOV), currently made in an f2 Summicron version but I suspect that is vanishingly unlikely ever to arrive. Hopefully not. I would also like a Summilux 23mm.

jonatdonuts Posted March 8, 2018 Author Share #22 Posted March 8, 2018 Summilux 23mm....in silver. . . . Drool.

Wojtek Posted March 8, 2018 Share #24 Posted March 8, 2018 My favourite lens combo on TL2 would probably be 23 cron/lux and 75/90 lux. So for me - 75/90 lux And maybe 23 lux Although standard 2.8 zoom (or brighter!?) sounds like a must these days.
michaelbogdan Posted March 10, 2018 Share #25 Posted March 10, 2018 My dream would be a 35mm summicron that's the size of the 23... Even better, how about some tiny manual focus lenses built like an M lens, but made specifically for the T mount. Now I'm really dreaming
38wadcutter Posted March 12, 2018 Share #26 Posted March 12, 2018 11 2.8, 14 2.8, 35 cron, 50 and 75 2.8 would be wonderful.
jonatdonuts Posted March 19, 2018 Author Share #27 Posted March 19, 2018 Advertisement (gone after registration) So a complete set of AF Lux's for the T mount, ranging from 23mm, to 75mm and 90mm. This would do very nicely, especially the 75mm...
Guest VVJ Posted April 10, 2018 Share #28 Posted April 10, 2018 It would be very nice to have some new announcements... or some new rumors...
IkarusJohn Posted April 10, 2018 Share #29 Posted April 10, 2018 So a complete set of AF Lux's for the T mount, ranging from 23mm, to 75mm and 90mm. This would do very nicely, especially the 75mm... They'll be large(ish). For me, the sweet spot is the wide zoom and 35 Summilux. Anything else, I prefer the M (only Monochrom) or SL - fabulous image quality from 24-280. jonatdonuts Posted April 10, 2018 Author Share #30 Posted April 10, 2018 There's apparently an L mount related announcement on June 14th, so hoping for some new lenses there. Fingers crossed for a 24-70 and / or more Lux primes, which seems to be the demand. Slightly off topic issue: what's the durability like on the TL lenses? Have been thinking of picking up a TL2 but hoping the TL lenses will last for a good 7-8 years of decent use before electronics start to give way. Of course they're only 4 years old so would be difficult to tell at this point, but any insights on how they are holding up so far would be most welcome... McG Posted April 10, 2018 Share #31 Posted April 10, 2018 A flattering native 75 cron would really complete my kit as I suspect a few others. That, and a good deal on a used macro
IkarusJohn Posted April 10, 2018 Share #32 Posted April 10, 2018 I have the 11-23 zoom and 35 summilux. They’re lighter than the SL & M equivalents, but they feel well made to me. I don’t think longevity will be an issue.

Guest VVJ Posted April 11, 2018 Share #34 Posted April 11, 2018 Wish List........ 16-80mm f2.8-4 IS 80-200mm f2.8-4 IS 33mm 1.2 56mm f1.2 16mm f1.4 Gordon I personally would buy all of these and I already have the existing 7 lenses. I guess I just don't understand why Leica does not release more TL-lenses, especially after the (I believe) commercial success of the CL.

How long does it take to design and produce a prototype TL lens, source the materials/components, design / perfect the firmware, design the subsequent production line (which might be third party), and arrange marketing and distribution? Likely two years minimum for any new lens. They do not grow on trees. dunk Edited April 17, 2018 by dkCambridgeshire

That one has me really puzzled. In general electronic components last for decades.
