marcg Posted November 24, 2017 Share #1 Posted November 24, 2017 Advertisement (gone after registration) Does anyone else think that it might be time for a new subforum dealing simply with the range of L mount lenses which now cross a range of different Leica camera bodies. This would reflect the approach in the M forum. It's rather difficult to have to go searching for information and opinions about L mount lenses by visiting each of the particular camera subforums. This could be a time to arrange a new "L mount system" forum and then have it contain all the various camera body sub- forums and also a dedicated L mount lens subforum. This would fit in exactly with the M system organisation of subforums

tom0511 Posted November 24, 2017 Share #2 Posted November 24, 2017 I agree and I would prefer to even have CL and TL cameras in the same forum

LUF Admin Posted November 24, 2017 Share #4 Posted November 24, 2017 I agree too - and will do this sooner or later. For SEO reasons I'll leave the Leica CL forum for a while and will then merge it with the T/TL section. The right name will take some consideration: Leica has named this L-bayonet APS-C system „APS-C system“ which contradicts the existing scheme. I'm not sure if they will stick with this... We'll see... Andreas

Guest VVJ Posted March 13, 2018 Share #7 Posted March 13, 2018 Advertisement (gone after registration) Bumping this thread as I believe it still makes sense... Both cameras have more in common (especially the lenses) than what divides them. Even Leica's website puts the CL and TL2 together under LEICA APS-C SYSTEM.
photograph58 Posted March 13, 2018 Share #8 Posted March 13, 2018 yes, definitely ONLY ONE section !!!
marcg Posted March 13, 2018 Author Share #9 Posted March 13, 2018 Yes. We are about three months down the line from the original request. I'm not quite sure how the SEO issue is solved by delaying. I would have thought that the transition to a single sub- forum should be made as quickly as possible so that the new setup can build up the Google reputation as early as possible. Allowing a lot of time to pass simply allows a reputation to be build up in the old system which then has to be rebuilt when a new structure is implemented. lct Posted March 13, 2018 Share #10 Posted March 13, 2018 I would prefer a separate sub-forum for TL lenses. This could make: - Leica APS-C System -- Leica CL -- Leica T/TL/TL2 -- Leica TL lenses ... or something like that.
