Well let me know when you are next in Melbourne and I'll shout you a coffee - when we are in Melbourne we have a residence that is a 4km walk to the store.

In the city you might have met Carlo who manages the store there (and who btw is quite an accomplished photographer himself) and in Chadstone you may have met 'Carla'- who works in that store. Over a coffee today Carlo bought with him his Leica M6 and his older Summicron that he showed me as I had mentioned to him previously that I cant decide between a 35 Summilux or just a plain old Summicron - he swapped out my Elmar and I made this shot over coffee with muy M10M - I cant tell from one snap - but Carlto says the lens is modern sharp in the center and nicely less sharp away - I like the idea of that.  Forgot which version it was - something to do with bokeh king something...

Coffee would be great Peter, normally I am there over Anzac week but not this year. Hopefully a road trip or two is on the cards instead. A change of scenery and scouting “rural abstracts” and other landscapes beyond the “black stump”. I will put the Apo 90-280 to work with the SL3.

Sounds like the 35 Summicron if the term king of bokeh was used. Chadstone is okay, they have an excellent display of Leica gear. I don’t know many at Leica but my guy at Chadstone managed to secure my copy of the SL3.
Best

Funny how people interpret the theme of a thread. Stuny posts an image of an old carriage in Landscape and here we see something which would clearly belong in Nature. Maybe I’m not thinking deep enough.

What a great shot. So typical of tourists in what I consider to be the greatest building on Earth! eg. The Familia Sagrada. I have had the privilege of photographing it five times over the years. It never ceases to amaze me.
