My husband took this picture a while ago. He told me that when he got out of the store with the camera hanging on his neck, the three ladies walking from the opposite did the following at him: "Smiling, blowing kisses and flashing the love sign." He had to quickly raise his camera and snap the the picture. That's why the shaky hands.

I wasn't with him, so I had to take his words for it.

Diptych

M-A Macro-Elmar-M 90mm f/4 Portra 400 (both)

Exercises that reduce the frame to juxtapose color fields inspired in a way by emission spectra in spectroscopy.
Thinking about spectrographs used to analyze light waves to identify material, I want to explore found colors, often overlooked, in an impressionist way.

Used to have the E58 version of the Noctilux. It was a beast of a lens, but I eventually tired of the special effects I could get with it at F1. I remember though, how knocked out I was at the time with what it was capable of, even just with a snap of my friend outside the pub.

Gelatino - thank you.

sandro - Got rid of the Noctilux because 1) it had trebled in price compared to what I paid for it, and 2) the M Monochrom had just come out, and I couldn't get one and keep the Noctilux - it was one or the other. And I'd had the Noctilux for four years. I did find it to be a bit of a one trick pony. But what a trick!

I reckoned I could make do with a 50mm Summilux ASPH, and that's what I do, although occasionally I still miss the Noctilux.

Cheers!
