This thread is suffering from overposting by a few members; I have hidden some posts. It is a an unwritten convention that we leave space for other participants. The reason is twofold: Overposting drowns out the other posts and, as important, if one floods a thread, the viewers lose interest and won't even look at those posts any more. Nice try, Erl; but sorry, it doesn't work for me; it is not what I had in mind for this picture, my friend! 😉

As I said before; if we were ten people shooting the same scene, there would be ten different pictures. This is what is so great about photography; everyone has a different eye!

BTW; I love the composition with those trees! 😂 😂 😂

Nosh time

Degraves St precinct is always overcrowded (it's really just an access lane) with diners and drinkers.

Umbrellas during summer. Winter the same with portable gas heaters added.

SL2 | M 24 Elmarit | f4 for 1/500th 

Visited the Heide (Museum of Modern Art)  Gallery for a Lee Miller photographic exhibition - highly recommended if anyone can get to it. IMO her post-surrealist phase work is far more impressive - the exhibition does a great job of walking the viewer through her great works - pre and post-war.

The precinct has changed a lot since then, not really for the better. Too many tourists. I tend to now make them the subject of pics, in context.
