There are bench seats either side at intervals all the way down. Its the vey last seats just behind the purple sign which has a full height wall and creates the neutral background. Afternoon sun is quite bright on the right hand side so I mainly shoot in the shade walking down the LHS looking at this image. I can only shoot to the left of my body anyway. That's the way I wear my camera and the prefocus between 1.5-2m with 35 lens  with 1600 iso at about 1/1250 sec and f 8 on continuous. After a bit of practice one can nail focus and experiment with post processing.

Thanks for sharing Ken - I've never used continuous - what a great idea to help improve critical focus chances when doing the old walk bye shot. I will definately give it a go  The clean background is a huge bonus in that scene - as is the seating position of the people with natural poses that come with it.
