Further to #54 herein:

This morning received the 60mm to 72mm step up ring from China … cost inc shipping US $ 2.88 … Ignore logo on the ring implying made in UK … a frequent occurrence with 'made in China' accessories.  Lee hoods are expensive but are often  listed s/h (and with many other Lee accessories) by the larger UK s/h dealers. All my Lee filters / accessories including a circular polariser and a Lee pouch for storage were purchased 'used' from Ffordes, LCE, and MPB.

Now ready to use the Leica R 80-200 with a decent hood … far better than the built-in hood. And when tested there is no vignetting throughout the zoom range

I found that I too could assemble a better hood arrangement from various Cokin P bits and pieces I had but it was all a bit "Heath Robinson". I am taking to India tomorrow, my Lenskirt instead, which I feel will do as well. This is designed for taking photos through glass, with the 4 suckers on the square frame front edge but also works as a big hood.
