wparsonsgisnet Posted June 30, 2017 Share #1 Posted June 30, 2017 Advertisement (gone after registration) I'm replacing my Epson 3880 that I managed to destroy. A P800 will arrive today. If you have a 3880, there is a lot of ink available for the asking. Best regards, Bill
Advertisement Posted June 30, 2017 Posted June 30, 2017 Hi wparsonsgisnet, Take a look here Want Inks for an Epson 3880 -- I'm in Boston. I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
Jeff S Posted June 30, 2017 Share #2 Posted June 30, 2017 I donated my 3800 and full ink set to a local college that uses Epson printers. They were delighted. You'll love the P800. Even more if you splurge on ImagePrint 10. Jeff

ymc226 Posted July 15, 2017 Share #4 Posted July 15, 2017 What happened to the 3880? I'm still using mine with IP10 and love the results. Just want to know how you damaged yours.

Didn't use it enuf and got ink jams. Tried cleaning carts, but the printer just wouldn't cooperate with them. Said there was no ink. Put all the inks back and it said the same thing. I now have a procedure where I run a cleaning cycle monthly on my inkjet printers. Do like the P800 with IP V10.
erudolph Posted July 21, 2017 Share #6 Posted July 21, 2017 Can you, or anyone who's switched from 3880 to P800, characterize the difference(s)?
Jeff S Posted July 21, 2017 Share #7 Posted July 21, 2017 Advertisement (gone after registration) Better inks.... deeper blacks, increased longevity (we're told), and somewhat larger gamut. It's also quieter with an improved front feed mechanism. And it has an optional roll paper attachment. Jeff
adan Posted July 22, 2017 Share #8 Posted July 22, 2017 If you still have the inks, and they are still in unopened boxes (and well before expiration date), you may be able to exchange them with your dealer for P800 cartridges. My Epson dealer took my backstock of 5-6 3800 inks off my hands in that way when I bought my P800 in January. Still a big market for them.
