If you click on some of the detail options, you'll see the shipping out of the EU comes from Hong Kong. To USA they are selling for around $5,700 USD. This is consistent for what you will find on eBay for Leica coming out of Hong Kong. Most of the time they are legitimate sellers, but as always, do your homework and be careful on eBay.

Thanks to all

I'll keep buying in Europe :-)

I had excellent service from eGlobal Central. It is a cheap HongKong supplier, but their local presence in Europe functions well.

and  you have not to pay additional fees to customs when it comes in  France or Germany ?

It's a reasonable expectation that you are going to get taxes and charges when importing something as expensive as Leica gear. That needs to be factored into your thinking when buying overseas. It's also reasonable to expect a fee from FedEx for the "service" they are performing.

No. They guarantee no extra costs. Somehow it gets shipped locally. Don't ask me how they do it. I have a feeling I don't want to know.

I bought from them twice and twice no charges.

I have no idea how they handle returns. However, one item I cancelled because I had to travel at the time they would deliver, and after emailing back and forth they agreed to hold delivery until a specified date, which they did to the day, and I got a 60 Euro bonus for staying with them.

and the suck part is that the adapter defective. I returned back.

yup...$22

Lesson learned. Never buy anything from Euro. :)

Normally it works the same the other way around as well. UPS, DHL, Fedex, the mail, they all are the same. They even hit you with costs for "nothing to declare"
