Vikas,

The back story is Isaac was immediately rejected by his Korean parents at birth and placed into an orphanage. He was then moved between orphanages about every six months until he was adopted by my brother-in-law and wife at 4 1/2 years of age. I literally cannot imagine the psychological scars from that kind of rejection and so early in life.

Now with a seriously loving and supportive family encouraging him to be his best, he is thriving. Its very inspiring to all who know him.

Dan

Thanks for that link Dan.  What a positive and courageous young man.  And what a wonderful couple to adopt him and raise him in a loving home.  Restores ones faith in people.

Wish him every success in his achieving his dreams!

The scene beckons me to drive my Porsche or ride my bicycle through the trees.

Matole Road in Northern Cal between 101 and Albee Creek Campgound in the Humboldt Redwoods state park.   Alas, as you head west the road soon turns to crap.  My wife thinks it took years off of the life of our car ;)

Today I photographed Col. Dick Cole visiting the WWII Aviation Museum in Colorado Springs. Col. Cole is the only living member of the Doolittle Raiders who attacked Japan on April 18, 1942 flying off the USS Hornet. He's 102 years old and still very lucid although confined to a wheelchair. I took the Q and my Canon 5D3. I ended up taking most photos with the Q. The Congressional Gold Medal was presented to him and is on display at the Liberty Aviation Museum in Ohio.

Thanks so much for this excellent capture that really shows off the Q. I’m wondering if the subject would still be Leica sharp if you cropped the sides a bit.

Is this what you had in mind?

That’s an amazingly composed picture, Dimitris. Such a simple picture at first glance with so much complexity upon review. This really belongs in a gallery.

I agree. I think it would be even better if the pigeon was an old woman smoking a cigarette and looking at the photographer.
