Just starting to check out my new Q. So far, I really appreciate the full frame Raw files .. easy to work,  and I have not experienced the dreaded 'banding' yet.  Back in the day, I used to smoke a pipe, no longer, but I still keep them around  as I feel they are works of Art in their own right.

btw, this was a handheld shot at 1/15th of a second .. I am very pleased that I can consistently hold sharp, at such slow shutter speeds.  That, plus high ISO capabilities, makes this camera a marvelous available light machine!

Very nice Rick and nice pipes too. The Q is amazing. I also love the FF Raw files. I’ve seen some banding in shadows, but for the most part it’s not an issue. Try macro mode if you haven’t yet. It’s fun. I have an Arca-Swiss plate for mine that I can easily attach or remove so as to use with my travel tripod. I figure the easier I make it to operate the more I’m likely to use it. Keep posting beautiful photos.

Thanks for the kind words Infinium Person.

I must admit, I am having fun with the Q.  It is sort of like walking around with a 4x5 'point and shoot' camera ..LOL.  I love the ability to go to an extreme crop and still have a decent photo. Here are a couple of today's walk-around - I am fortunate to live near the waterfront.
