Thank you - this cam is wonderful, uncomplicated, fast, easy to handle, perfect to hold. I did not expect to love a camera more than my (gone) M9. Here it is...

So much more talent than me in this thread.   I'd like to see what you'd all do with just an iPhone.  This really is all about the photographer, but the Q certainly does seem to inspire.  Keep 'em coming!

Just messing about. This is an out of camera jpeg in the 50mm crop mode. Not something I would normally do but I actually find the B&W jpegs even at the reduced MP count a remarkably clear and smooth

So they say the iPhone is 28mm equivalent lens but of course you just can never get that bokeh and shallow depth of field it.

Of course, of course, I just mean that if you have the eye for detail so ably manifested on this very page, you can take good photos with any camera.  Whereas if you're anything like me, even a Leica can't turn you into a budding Vivian Maier.  I can stage photos.  But I can't take 'em.

Diary note 4th July:

 

'Met up with Ah Dah again yesterday, and took some pictures while she smoked ice with her friend. She had a baby boy three months ago. Laughing, she said she didn't know if the father is a local guy or 'fucking barang'.

We caught a tuk tuk over to Street 51; she gave me a quick hug, and walked off into the sunset to start the day's work.

She was beautiful once.'
