My Q was being handed around friends last night at a birthday gathering at a biergarten

Night in Chiang Mai, Thailand:

I would be very interested to know what your camera settings were: auto/ap priority, f#, speed and ISO. For me it all works extremely well, except I might just have cropped out the bike wheel on the right, but I love the tone and dynamic range.

Maroon Bells at sunrise. Aspen Colorado. Fall colors. Golden aspen. Settings: Shutter, 2 sec., f/16, ISO 100. On a tripod. Processed in Adobe LR. I honestly love using the Q. I would have enjoyed a little tighter focal length, but this was still a nice reflection shot of the mountains and scene in the lake. Along with I'd guess several hundred other photographers that morning.

Very nice photo!

Before sunrise I tried some astrophotography with the Q. Orion constellation. Admittedly, the Q is not really a very good camera for this kind of pursuit, but I thought I'd try it anyway. I used higher ISO numbers: 3200, 6400, 50,000. They ended up being pretty badly banded in the dark areas. This photo was at ISO 3200, F/1.7, 1.3 sec. shutter speed. 1900 x 3800 pixels so it's about a 50% crop. If I don't push the shadows it actually looks pretty good. Can you see Orion's Nebula which is near the middle of the sword? It is an amazing nebula and so visible once you know it's there.
