The Leica Q is an absolutely great camera, today I looked at all of the images, right from the very first shot up to today on this forum.

The results are so very good, occasionally someone is "testing his or her new Leica Q , more like the Leica Q testing them.

Even with the most basic settings : auto auto , one obtains excellent results, if the camera is kept steady for the duration of the shot.

It seems to me that the Leica Q inspires people to go out and take shots, evidenced by the large number of fine images contributed to this forum.

A shot of the night sky above Lake Tekapo in New Zealand. Was a very clear night. Photo taken from Mt. John Observatory.

This photo does not in anyway capture how truly stunning it was to see a gazillion stars in the sky. Lake Tekapo in New Zealand is a dark sky reserve and there are very few lights nearby resulting in a beautiful night sky. We were able to see the Milky Way, Andromeda galaxies quite clearly.

ISO6400, F/1.7, 4 Seconds, Tripod, No OIS

While taking this photo, I also learnt that the Q does not have a true bulb mode. This is a shame as I would have loved to have tried out a 2 to 3 minute exposure. (I learn now that 2 minutes is possible with the firmware download).
