Started the day with a training ride (road bike -  ), then went for a:

Now sitting on the deck, it's 5.20pm, 24 degrees, sun shining, drinking home brew (my version of Kolsch), pistachios, Electric Ladyland playing on the record player, and I can't remember why I decided to ignore Rick's posts ...

Oh, and the picture was taken with the SL and 90-280 zoom - that's why I'm not buying the M10; not because of the ISO dial - priorities, priorities ...

Everything was good except the push bike part... Get a real bike with engine. :D

PS - I have no doubt in my mind why Edward is on my ignore list, however!

I think most people think it's a fantastic addition. There is always a small vocal minority :) However I do think it would have been much better not to have to pull it up in order to change the ISO. Many seem to share this opinion. Not a deal breaker for most but a constructive suggestion for future improvements.

I think the "many" you refer to don't even own the camera. Try it you may like it.

And there is no need to "pull it up" every time...Its designed to be left in the up position while shooting. I leave it up if I'm working in varying lighting conditions and may be adjusting it. If not I I set the ISO,  leave it in the locked position and forget about it.

Personally, I like the function exactly as it is and hope noting is changed.

I think Leica should make a second pull-out position on the dial and reveal a little flash - or a microphone and speaker holes for video.

Winston and Lady Astor seemed to have had a rather adversarial relationship:

L. Astor: "Winston you're drunk."

Winston C: "Quite Lady Astor but you're ugly. However, in the morning, I shall be sober"

I think there are a number of variants on this story. A more likely version was that the lady in question was Bessie Braddock.

She was a confirmed anti-semite and Nazi, founding the Cliveden Set to try to push Britain to support Hitler.  I'm not sure she was that ugly, though (odious woman).
