The good news is, if you're being run off the road on the curve, at low tide you can ride down into the harbor itself down the unpaved boat launch.

M10 set to ISO 6400 at candlelight just before sunset. We had no power for a few days due to Hurricane Sally hitting Pensacola.

Red Lion pub at Charlton. The oldest pub in Hampshire. Probably 16th Century, possibly earlier judging by the construction.

That brings back some memories.  I grew up in Rowlands Castle not far from Charlton, and would regularly pedal past it on bike rides with my friends (no tablets in those days!).

Here are my friends Simon and Oliver in front of the building just to the right of the pub in your photo.  It was taken some time in 1989, I think, with my first camera - an Olympus 35RC.

I obviously hadn't quite got the hang of rangefinder focussing, but at least the sign above them is legible!

Here is the same camera today, taken with my m10.

Peter . . . I like the photo and I will put this pub on my visit list when things get a little better . . . but would you consider Photoshopping out the bollards?  Just a thought.

@T25UFO My photo is what I saw. I hate to use Photoshop to alter images. The bollards are there because of Covid restrictions. I can't get rid of Covid. That's for epidemiologists. I can picture the scene which is a small piece of history.

If I were in a darkroom using chemicals to develop film I couldn't alter the image that far. Sometimes altered images can become an abuse of reality.
