I always liked that particular vintage of the 90 and also the feel of using it on M bodies. I finally sold mine and settled on the Fat-Tele which was another one that I always liked and it doesn't seem so prone to flare as the thin-Tele that preceded it in my bag. I also had the Elmarit-M for a short time and no doubt the best of the  f 2.8 lenses but I didn't gel with it.

Very nice moment and color with your 90 Elmarit.

The first with 50mm Summilux, the second two with 28mm Summicron. Still on the fence about replacing the 28CRON and 35LUX with a single 28LUX...

I''ve been going through the previous several pages, for a photo taken with an M10 that might have been very difficult to capture on a different camera. I especially like this one, with the beautiful symmetry, then that noticeable vignetting, the great depth of field, and the two doggies bringing some animation to an otherwise static image.  If I had a list of check-boxes for everything I try to pay attention to in a photo, this photo would get full credit for everything.  The geometry pulls your eye right into the photo.

I try to make photographs like this, but rarely succeed as well as this photo does.  Nice!!!

Thank you! I have just applied an RNI film simulation profile in LR called Fuji FP 100C v4 (instant film).

I love the look too, but no likes so far make me think that not many others agree. 😉

i’m still new here, is it ‘the done thing’ to suggest edits to other people’s shots ?? For this shot of the girl I too like the colours, but I would have explored a tighter composition, throwing away the rule of thirds and cropped it to a square format with the girl centred just to see how it looks - maybe it would be wrong. Forgive me, for I’m a bit of a cropper, perhaps due to a secret love of square formats or inept framing skills !

Thank you! I'm always thankful for constructive criticism. I know I'm pretty wimpy when it comes to cropping. 😄

So I agree that the picture could have benefited from a tighter cropping. Here is how it looks on my iPhone, and that's probably much better:

I like the first version of the photo much better. I think it was great how you showed the field that she was standing in. It allowed the photo to have the soft brown color of the field's straw/grass, and the colors of the girls coat and everything else. The context of were she was standing adds to the composition for me. I don't so much care for this version.

Thank you very much! My original thought was that the field should play a very important role in this picture.
