Easy to feel that way when you get your camera. ;-) Ordered January 20 and still waiting.

Have you tried the smaller shops that allow mail-ordering? Things seem to be loosening. It varies by shop, on some lists I found that I was 35th, even though I applied to all at the same time.

If you desperately want an M10 right now this 2nd hand vendor sells also sought after new stuff at a premium.  I have no affiliation with him, but bought several used lenses.  Always a trouble free experience.  If it's not listed on his webshop you might drop him a message and he wel go find what you are looking for.  But like I already told he is not the cheapest and masters the art of adapting his selling prices to demand.

Yeah. eBay had a black M10 unopened for $1,500 USD more but I'll wait.

What is a bit off is that some later BH order are marked as shipped as per spreadsheet. I could see them do that in case someone combines multiple items, I for exmple have an a Summicron attached to my M10 I could see them ship this earlier then someone that only orders a body. Could also be those entries are fake.

Its May, find it really strange that a January order is still open, if that is the case BH should be stop taking order and not piling up more

No they don't. I had two Leica lenses on my order. They were going to hold it all until the M10 came in until I called and asked them to release them.

Hang around for awhile and you won't find it so strange.  Take a much-in-demand item, made by a company with limited ability to produce, and that's what you get.

The last rifle I bought took nearly two years.

Leica Store Boston, doesn't even have a demo M10 yet. What does that say, that the actual LEICA DEALER does not have one to show customers? I called yesterday and they are still on a list to get one.

That is really funny that Leica Boston has no demo, cause in this video at minute 2:30 you can see it.

They may have sold it but Leica SF for example had 2 demos when I popped in so is probably an exception

Here in the US local dealer that do not ship may be the way to go but the beauty of BH and Adorama is that most will save sales tax. This is probably why they are so overbooked.

Personally I leave my order with BH and don't mind the wait. I just find the sheet confusing since it clearly looks like they ship out of order

I have messaged the users that don't show receipt. One I know has not been active on here since March. The users are not updating the sheet. They are entering their info and failing to follow up. I message them to get up-to-date info. No word back yet.

I was in Boston on 11 April and the Park Plaza Store didn't have one. Must have come in over the last few weeks. Nice bunch of people working there. The fellow showing the M10 in the video helped me and was knowledgeable and enthusiastic.

BH Super duper store has a demo in stock if you want to have a peek.

Glazer's in Seattle told me the wait was a month or so for silver M10, "much, much longer" for black.

Although I'm living in North America, I'm going the European route - they have lots of dealers and if within the EU, they deduct the VAT so their price is more competitive (even if I pay local duties/sales tax). I have called and emailed all over Spain, Portugal, Italy, France, Austria, Germany, Slovakia, The Netherlands and Belgium. Best bet for a black model seems to be Leica Galerie Salzburg (very small waiting list) and Leica Store Wetzlar (within 2 months). All dealers I spoke to also confirmed that they get a small amount every month (1-3 cameras) but they expect things to get better from summer.

That IS funny since.....FACT. April 29th I called the store. The man at the store said they did not have one (even a demo)  and were on the list to get one.

For those who are in limbo land with your dealers, you might contact Joel at CameraLand in New York. He's a pretty informative and aggressive advocate for his customers. He let me know that his just sold his last black and silver yesterday, but I'm numero uno on his silver list now. And I just listed with him today.

Note: Joel's brother, Doug, followed up on the order. Needless to say, they have gone completely out of their way on this one.

Ordered my silver M10 on the 24th of April. Received it yesterday afternoon. Great, great guys at CameraLand.

By the way, canceled my B&H order that I placed on February 13th. So anyone waiting on a silver M10 from B&H just moved up a notch.

Maybe the issue is people order from multiple dealers & some do not even bother to cancel when one delivers.

I know one dealer who has 150 on order and spends "way too much" time on phone trying to make delivery.   He is a major dealer and sells Leica exclusively.

Chicken and egg problem...

I'd do that too IF I could find a camera in a showroom for sale in person.

Thanks FRG! I saw your post last week, and ordered one from CameraLand on the 25th. Crossing my fingers that it arrives soon.
