If you have something meaningful to contribute, please do, otherwise your uninformed assumption isn't helpful to anyone.

I'm happy to rephrase.... Does your dealer have a wait list for the M10? If not, then a good deal for a member here. And if so, the reputable thing would be to move to the next person on the list. If you've followed the discussion, there has already been controversy around a dealer's action. I consider that to be a meaningful ongoing topic, worthy of a simple clarification on your part.

Boost as in SC/Turbo?

That's some great information. They need to give B&H one day if blacks so I can get mine before vacation. I'm afraid I won't have it before the middle of May.

I spoke with a Leica rep today, and they said Leica is manufacturing about 100 M10's a day globally. Most dealers I've spoken with say they are getting an average of 1-2 camera bodies per week.

Received my black M10 and black half case on March 30. Spare battery is now on its way, EVF is still back ordered.

I ordered my camera from Leica store Miami on launch day via their website at approximately 10 PM. I was on their pre-order list since May, and bought my M9 and M240 from them as well. It's a great camera! I hope everyone who has ordered one will have their cameras soon .

I ordered 5 hours before you and still nothing. Clearly I was bumped. I traded my M9 and my S006, I'm a very unhappy camper. Someone else I was ahead of got delivery on March 6th of a silver, I also ordered silver. Whats the deal...

I ordered my M10 around January 26th in the local Leica store, expected delivery end of February. Within few weeks I sold the M9 in the hope of getting M10 soon. February would change to March, March to next few months, probably summer. Inability of the store to tell me how far I'm on the waiting list made me thinking, so I googled a bit, searched in countries around and found one available in a shop in Slovakia. Phone call, money transfer, and 5 days later I was holding a black Leica in my hands. A dream came true. That was 29th of March.

First day was a disappointment - each time after turning it on again I had to set it up (date, time...). It killed my SD card that was working with M9 flawlessly. Without doing anything special apart from getting a new SD card, the problems resolved and I'm a happy shooter since :-)

Local Leica Store still didn't contact me.

Out of curiosity I just googled again and found two silver M10s available in other shops in Slovakia.

I ordered a black M10 and an extra battery from Adorama on Jan. 19th. I just learned that they have a battery on hold for me, awaiting the camera. They said they could ship the battery now if I like, but what's the point? It's not like I can use it without the camera. I might cancel the order anyway.

Good news I ordered at about the same time, but I ordered black. Hopefully mine will arrive soon too.

I ordered a black M10 first thing January 20th and B&H said this morning they don't have me slated for delivery. I had to call B&H about another order and asked about the M. They were very nice and a bit more responsive to opening up with some information. Essentially, they are not getting enough stock to fulfill more than a few orders at a time. You can define "few" how you want.

My searches reveal that you can try the following for a silver M10:

http://www.creapolis-photo.fr

http://www.mennesson.fr

http://www.fotovideoshop.sk

First 2 in France, last one in Slovakia. Best way is to call them directly to confirm even though their website states it is in stock.

I passed on them because I want a black but maybe I have to reconsider that decision ....

Good luck and let us know!

For those who are in limbo land with your dealers, you might contact Joel at CameraLand in New York. He's a pretty informative and aggressive advocate for his customers. He let me know that his just sold his last black and silver yesterday, but I'm numero uno on his silver list now. And I just listed with him today.

Note: Joel's brother, Doug, followed up on the order. Needless to say, they have gone completely out of their way on this one.

Does this mean that there are 50 to 75 Dealers globally? I just made a quick calculation . . .
