Please note the first post in this thread that requires that photos posted here conform to the Forum's rules, which only allow pictures taken with a Leica camera or a Leica lens or both.

 I thought I have seen some photos with Canon, and Nikon on this thread. Maybe I was mistaken. I Will take the photo off. 

 

Oops, I couldn't edit the post.   I will try to make the photo private on flickr instead.

As long as either the camera and/or the lens is Leica then it's fine.

 

You might have seen photos in the "I Love Film" thread where it appears that the rules have been relaxed.  :)

Earlier this morning, I decided to try one of my oldest lenses on my most recent camera.

The pictures below have no content merit, but show what a good copy of a pre-war, uncoated Sonnar can do wide open.

Some mallards appeared in my front  yard today.

SL601 w 135 f4 Elmar.

(This shot was taken as a jpeg, so there was an effective focal length of 200mm).

Needless to say the compression necessary to post this file really compromises its true appearance and how very sharp it really is.

Nice paradox. 

 

You can upload files of up to 500kB in size. This one has not quite 200kB. So, there's ample room left for a higher resolution image.
